how they are made

Almost all Selène products are complete lighting families: hanging and ceiling lamps, wall fittings, standard lamps and the classic “triptic” (bedside lamps and a table or chest of drawers lamp): a unique way to furnish a whole area of your house.
The wooden and metal fixtures are designed to focus attention on the glass diffuser, which is the centre-piece of the model. In many cases, the fixture is made by specialists using intricate techniques (folding, soldering, cutting and twisting) both in ductile metals, such as iron and brass, and wood, with stunning effects that make several models genuine works of art.

The intricacies of glass-making hold no secrets for Selène: the glass is fashioned in expert hands to create subtle tricks of the light and masterly furnishings, from the simplest blown glass creations to refined finishes, such as the “dappled” effect with symmetrical air bubbles, or from remarkable colours to the painstaking “a fermo” moulding technique.

The items are made with exclusive materials, finishes and glass to meet this market’s extensive demands.
These results have been achieved through diligent artisan techniques in each production phase, including quality control and compliance with industry standards (CE).
